LAMPE31

Lampe 31 is one controlled OLED lamp. Gesture control is one of the important intelligent Controls in the future. It is also the “inductive” Type of communication “between the user and the lamp.”

Problem

  1. LED light pollution and prolonged use can affect the sleep and memory of older people.

  2. Fixed switch positions do not free the hands.

  3. The fixed shape of the lamp cannot be changed. The light range cannot be changed.

Research

  • Eye requirements for light

There is no light that the eyes like better than natural light, so the closer the colour temperature, frequency and spectrum of light to natural light, the better, and thus the less damage it will do to the eyes.

  • The difference between OLED and LED

LED is made of metal, and OLED is made of organic material, the two light-emitting principles are the same, the difference is that OLED does not need a backlight, itself will light, is composed of the light-emitting diode array. The difference is that OLED does not need a backlight, it will light itself, and is composed of an array of light-emitting diodes. The brightness is higher than that of LED LCDs, and the thickness is thinner. OLED display screens can be made lighter and thinner, with greater viewing angles and significant power savings.

  • The way the lights are controlled

Traditional light units are located in a fixed position in the room. There is a mobile phone app to control the lights. Gesture control of the lighting effect.

Inspireation

  • The lantern was invented to protect the light source e.g. a lit candle, making it easier to carry and hang, whether placed outdoors or indoors in passageways or staircases, so that it would not be blown out by the wind because it was not covered. The main palace lantern shapes are round, oval, and rectangular.

  • Create a paper film mock lantern shape. Find product shapes.

  • Try two different lamp shapes.

  • Model deformation. The 4 light bars merge towards the center.

  • Models: A model consisting of 6 light bars. Inspired by the shape of a lantern.

  • Model deformation. Move from the bottom to the inner circle.
